Dear Sanctuary Family,

What a wonderful Christmas season we've experienced at The Sanctuary Church! In this week between Christmas and New Year's, I pray you have had the opportunity to reflect on all God's blessings in your life and prioritize His will for you in 2023.

Here are some important 2023 updates:

21 Days of Prayer and Fasting

As a church, we will launch our annual 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting for the new year on this Sunday, January 8 through Saturday, January 28. We will join with churches around the globe as we push through the noise and distractions to hear God’s voice and draw closer to Him.

Prayer and fasting give us power with God, because they put God’s Spirit on the throne of our hearts, instead of being ruled by our own flesh. During this time of consecration, I encourage you to fast meals (as your health permits) and to fast media, to empty our hearts of our own selfish desires and pursuits. When fasting, during the times when we typically would be eating, we spend time in prayer instead. You can choose from many different ways to fast: from fasting meals or days, to abstaining from specific foods, like in the Daniel Fast. I have attached a guide you may find helpful regarding fasting. Please let us know if you have any questions.

In-Person Wednesday Prayer & Bible Study: Starting Jan 8, 2023

We are excited to be able to gather as a church family for this important time together as repairs to our building are close to completion. Throughout January, we will gather as a church family on Wednesdays at 7pm for a time of focused prayer. In February, we are thrilled to announce that we will resume in-person Bible study on Wednesdays. Join us as we desire to grow and deepen our faith together.

To help support your spiritual growth in 2023, we’re offering some options for Bible reading plans, so you can choose what works best for you. I have attached a weekly reading plan you can print to follow, in which you focus on one passage and read it each day that week.
